St. David Athletics

We are enthusiastic about athletics here at St. David Unified School District. It is our mission to give our students the opportunity to participate in healthy sporting activities in a safe, fun, and encouraging atmosphere. We will strive to create activities that are student centered and that display integrity, while being quality-focused and providing a balance in the lives of our students.

Requirements for Student Athletes

Before a student may participate in a sport, you must obtain a "white card" by completing the following requirements. See Mrs. Richardson in the front office for paperwork, payment, and if you have any questions.

  1. Parents and healthcare provider need to complete the physical form. This form is good for the current school year. 

  2. Parent and athlete need to complete the sports paperwork packet available in the front office.

  3. Middle school students must complete the AIA concussion test and print the certificate at the end. High school students are now required to take both the concussion and opioid tests once per high school career. Athletes must do this once during middle school for middle school athletes (middle school AIA concussion test instructions) and once during high school for high school athletes (High School AIA Brainbook Concussion Course & Opioid Education test instructions). See grade level appropriate instructions for completing the concussion test. 

  4. High school fees: $40 per sport. Middle school fees: $35 per sport.

  5. Bring your completed physical form, concussion certificate, paperwork packet, and payment to our activities secretary in the front office. Make checks payable to St. David School.

The Athletics Department may have special events where they waive entrance fees for certain groups for activities.

Current Season Announcements:

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS SOFTBALL: Practice starts Monday, September 30 at 4:00 pm. Get your white card from the office to practice. - Coach AJ Jacquez

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: 5th – 8th grade boys are invited to Basketball Open Gym over fall break on Wednesday through Friday October 9 -11 and Monday, Oct. 14th. This event will be held from 8:00- 10:00 AM in K-Hall. White cards are not required for open gym but will be required for the regular season.

Official practice for middle school boys’ basketball (6th - 8th grade) will begin Tuesday, October 15 at 3:30 pm in K-Hall.  Students must have their white card in order to practice.  Requirements for Student Athletes can be found on our school website www.stdavidschools.org/page/athletics . See Mrs. Richardson in the front office for paperwork and fees.
