Classified positions include all support staff positions that do not require a teaching or administrative certificate to perform their job, i.e. clerical, maintenance, bus drivers, and aides. Steps for applying for open Classified Positions are outlined as follows (or can be downloaded here):
If you are required to take a pre employment proficiency test for your position, you will need to do so before your application can be considered. Pass/Fail tests may only be taken once per three-month period. After the application is filed, a period of approximately one to three weeks may pass before interviews are conducted. All qualified current employees of the School District who apply for a position are interviewed. Any or all other applicants may or may not be interviewed. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the school district and an interview will be scheduled. If you are selected for a position, you will be contacted, by telephone, shortly after the interviews. All applicants hired who were born after January 1, 1957, must submit sufficient evidence or medical records of measles and rubella vaccination. Applicants younger than 45 years of age and born before January 1, 1957, must provide proof of immunity to rubella. All applicants hired will be required to complete a notarized affidavit indicating whether he/she is awaiting trial on, has been convicted of, or has admitted committing certain criminal offenses outlined in Arizona Revised Statute 15-512. If you are selected for employment, as a condition of employment, you are required to be fingerprinted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statute 15-512 and will be required to pay a $29.00 fee for such fingerprinting expenses.
Substitute teachers must have an Arizona Substitute Certificate or 60 credits and a high school diploma to request emergency certificate. Applications are accepted at:
