St. DavidUnified School District #21

Food Services

Our purpose is to provide our students with nutritious meals in a pleasant surrounding. We are committed to delivering high quality, nutritious meals to our students.

We prepare our lunch menus to provide both appeal and proper nutrition to our students. The variety of our menus ensures that our students get all of the necessary nutrients and other substances associated with good health, clear thinking, and a balanced diet. We teach the importance of nutritious meals while encouraging good eating habits. We recognize that nutrition impacts classroom performance, so our menus and food preparation is designed to teach health wellness. We also encourage parents to help their children to eat healthy, nutritious foods both at school and at home. To see what we are doing to accomplish this, we invite you to read the district's student wellness policy.

For information on our district policy for meal charges, please see our school lunch policy.

We would love your input! If you have any recipe ideas or suggestions please email Jennifer Lopshire.

Reduced Price Lunches

The Arizona Department of Education Health and Nutrition Services has notified us of additional funding for students receiving reduced price lunches through the national school lunch program.

Starting on January 1, 2023, through the remainder of the school year, students who qualify for reduced lunches will not have to pay the reduced price. Reduced equals free from this assistance grant.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Lopshire.
